Description: | During the best weather some of the walking paths are a little busy with children and bikes, however, the forest is huge and many of the walking areas are quiet and dogs can roam. Even though I am local, I still find myself in areas I have never seen before. Great for exploring! |

Description: | Linear walk as it is an old railway line, but there are also many trails off to the sides - recommend you take an OS map to help. The trail is also used by cyclists and horse riders but I have never had any problems with either, most people being very friendly. There are also toilets at the car park at Whitegate station. |
