Opal and Marble

Description: It's a lovely walk in High Elms Country Park. We go most days so if you ever hear me calling out "Opal and Marble", that's us. We often walk in big doggy packs as you get to know most poeple up there. I tend to remember the dogs' names rather then the peoples'; it's mostly dog wlkers and the odd jogger. On Saturdays you may see the odd ranger van or 4x4; I have also seen a tractor. The wildlife is good too - deer, badgers, birds, etc. There are many paths and one main big one there is also a golf course. As long as you stay in the woods it's fine.
Directions: Not sure as I don't drive, I just walk it, but I think its just off the A21, towords Green St Green. High Elms Country Park is sign posted. You should be able to find directionson the Bromley Council website under parks and countryside.
Classification: None

Dudley

Description: Oldbury Woods. This is dog walkers' heaven and even if the car park is full you rarely see anyone, if you hear bells that'll probably be Dudley. Cross the road from the carpark, head up the hill but turn left before the really steep bit, follow the path along this way as it's a bit easier to get to the top. Once you are at the top it's flat and there are various paths. Explore them all it's great.
Directions: From Sevenoaks head towards Borough Green on A25 as you pass the Crown Point pub on your right the turning for Oldbury woods is on left at bottom off hill just after bus stop. The parking is on the left about 200 yards down.
