Description: | A disused railway line with gateways into fields on either side - you can often find an empty field if your dog wants to run! This walk can be very wet and muddy even in dry weather. |
| Directions: | From Helmsley take the A170 towards Scarborough. Turn right immediately before the 40mph signs, into Riccall Drive. As you follow the road round to the left there is a rough footpath on the left hand side. Walk across the small footbridge there and immediately bear left. Keep going and you will reach the route of the railway line. | |

Description: | Peaceful woodland walk enjoying the views of St Gregory's Minster, alongside the stream. Some 'hilly' areas and short steep inclines. Look out for Kirkdale Caves on the left hand side towards the end of the woodland section! This is our favourite walk! |
| Directions: | From Kirkbymoorside towards Helmsley take the first right, straight on at crossroad. Through ford and park in church. Follow path to side of church and through grass field. At the woods, turn right and follow the pathway through the woods, reach the road and turn right back towards the church - around an hour. |
