Description: | The walk to Stoke Lock and back (about 1 mile in total) is easily accessible by wheelchairs. Longer walks extend out from Stoke Lock, either continuing by the river or looping back across farmland. Severn Trent maintain the field edges for walkers. It is flat terrain. "Watch out for those terrifying COWS that stand there and STARE at me!" says Rosie Hound. They are sometimes kept by the river. I say watch out for cow pats. |
| Directions: | If heading out from Nottingham take the A612 towards Burton Joyce and after just a half mile take the first junction off to the right signposted Stoke Bardolph. Keep on the road towards the river until, after just over a mile, you'll see Severn Trent's car park on the right or the pub's one just past it on the left. | |
