Description: | Easy walking over well maintained paths. Plenty of shelter for heavy downpours! Information boards at car parks give maps and colour coded trail directions. As well as walking, there's a lot to do and see here. The information boards are interesting, and the overall dog friendliness is quite good considering this is a really urban area. |
| Directions: | There are several entrances and car parks, probably be best to check on map before setting out | |

Description: | This is a disused railway line, part of the South Staffordshire Railway Walk. It's quite firm underfoot and suitable for pushchairs (if you can get them down the steps) and cyclists. There is a high embankment either side and barbed wire fences at the top which will discourage dogs from going through. The trees are mature and therefore it is quite shady - watch out for midges! Occasionally the path opens out into picnic areas where there are benches. |
| Directions: | From Wolverhampton drive along Langley Road out towards Staffordshire. About 1km out of Merry Hill you go past Drive Fields on your left. Go another km and pull into the layby just before the next left, which is Market Lane. The layby is just next to a picnic area and post box. There is a bus shelter on the other side of the road. OS map reference SO 866 966, nearest postcode WV4 4XS. Go through the picnic area and down some steps to the railway path. You can either go left towards Castlecroft or right towards Wombourne. |

Description: | A large recreation area where most people (and other dogs) seem to be dog friendly. There are nearly always other dog walkers around. Avoid Sunday afternoons and summer evenings, unless you are happy to keep your dog on a lead, because football matches take place. |
| Directions: | Turn into Windsor Avenue from Coalway Road and park as soon as you can (you can use the car parking area in front of the shops if they are closed). The entrance to the recreation ground is through a gate on the right. If in a wheelchair look for the entrance off Pinfold Drive which will lead you onto a tarmaced car park, although the actual fields may be a bit difficult to negotiate. | |
